Asmodeus has left Hell for reasons unknown and left its matters to the care of an unknown Triad consisting of Pandora, Neron and Kaeldurt.  In his absence efforts are being taken to take over Hell by Baalzebul. The day to day battles are being managed by the generals of the armies Neron representing Asmodeus forces and Blaze and Satanus representing Baalzebul.

Every infernal creature on Earth (The 52) has been recalled to Hell. Ghouls, Vampires, Devilspawns in service to the Lords of the Nine have returned to deal with the pending crisis.

The Telestic Council have gathered to discuss the matter.

The Odium has fallen while the rebellion is looking to turn the Exgesis Guild to its cause.

Lilith has allied herself with Asmodeus's forces.

Members of the Shadowpact have gathered in Mike's Bar to discuss their thoughts on the war. They then enter into Hell looking to ally with Baalzebul's forces who promise a kinder, gentler, Hell.

Thoth has shown interest in the war and tried to send a chosen of his into the war on the side of the rebellion. His plan is to shift Hell's Paradigm by its new rulers and therefore radically shift Set's presence there.

Dr. Occult has encountered the Yellow Peri in Hell searching for a lost love leading them both to the Labrynth and the site of the war itself as Hells Prisons are being broken apart and Hells prisoners unleashed.

The General of Gehenna, leader of the Yugoloths has recalled as many yugoloths out of Hell as he can, and the infernal forces of Gehenna seem determined to stay out of this war. Zaltec, Maztican god of war and eater of hearts has sided with Baalzebul, due to a vendetta against Asmodeus.

Tiamat has sent Gozer to investigate the current state of the war and try to find Asmodeus. Gozer has since encountered the mysterious Pandora left to deal with Asmodeus's affairs. Gozer's devasite allowed him to see Pandora for who she used to be before her transformation Michelle White who was once bonded with Mistress Death.
