CYN

History

The ruined city and surrounding region in Maladomini was one of the unfinished cities a barren wasteland claimed under control of the Exgesis Guild.  After Team Angel succeeded in murdering several high ranking members of the Circle of the Black Thorn, and doing battle with the army of the Senior Partners, the Partners punished them by sending the city of Los Angeles and everyone in it twisted into Cyn.  The city remained both in the Kingdom of Hidden Powers and in Baator. (Kingdom Great Wheel)

During this time, many low-level demons took advantage of the chaos to become "Demon Lords", each one ruling over a different section of Los Angeles however, Lorne, Spike, and Illyria also became Demon Lords themselves, with Lorne trying to remain a neutral party and Spike and Illyria using their position as a cover to rescue innocents and evacuate them into the care of a safe house.

Eventually, Angel declared war on the Demon Lords and, together with his friends, successfully defeated their champions and tricked the Lords into committing suicide with the Hagan Shafts. Angel was contacted by Twilight who convinced him to ally with it in order to prevent the entire world from going through what Los Angeles did during the Fall. Eventually Twilight was defeated when a Seed of Yggdrasil was destroyed sending out a powerful wave of energy severing the connection to Hell.

Yet the Exgesis Guild would not give up control of their territory as Baalzebul's forces would meet attacks from multiple sides in the Hellswar.  Blackheart with the necessary components in his possession; the blood of someone who has been to hell and back, flesh of a symbiote, and 100 human souls, is ready to begin his plan. Blackheart tricks the new Ghost Rider into spinning his Hell Centrifuge thus activating it. Cyn is brought to Las Vegas in the Kingdom of Marvels but the full take over is halted by Johnny Blaze before it can engulf the whole planet.

Now the city exists both in the Kingdom of Marvels and in Baator. Should the Kingdom of Hidden Powers see the dimensional barriers restored then the plane would exist in three Kingdoms.
